An overwintering onion with pinkish-red skin. The bulbs are good-sized and are ready for harvest a full month earlier than spring-planted sets. The flavour is a bit stronger than yellow onions (which is a good thing for us onion lovers) and they have a longer storage life than yellow onions too.
