- Cyclamen will grow in a wide range of soils provided there is good drainage. They like partial shade and good supply of humus such as leaf mould or compost.
- Planting locations: For cyclamen outdoors, the best position is somewhere sheltered from the elements, especially heavy rain. Under tree canopies or hedgerows is good.
