- 'Purpusii' is an evergreen houseplant with fleshy trailing stems bearing lance-shaped, greenish-purple leaves, deep purple beneath, and small deep pink flowers in terminal clusters
- Sold in a 12cm nursery pot
- Light: Thrives in bright to medium light conditions. To maintain the most striking contrast of vivid colours give it bright diffused light.
- Water: Water well during the growing season and allow to dry-out between waterings. If the plant sits in wet soil for long periods it will cause root rot. Reduce the amount of watering in winter.
- Humidity: The Tradescantia zebrina does prefer increased levels of humidity but will tolerate normal conditions. For an added boost, mist regularly, or relocate to a steamier room such as the kitchen or bathroom.
- Additional care advise: Fast growing plant and develops long trails capable of being trained to climb.
