  • A dwarf, compact, clump-forming perennial with dark-green lance shaped leaves and clusters of rose-pink funnel-shaped flowers which have dark brown speckles and a yellow throat in summer and autumn.
  • Foliage: Deciduous. Habit: Clump-forming.
  • Position: Full sun or partial shade. Aspect: North-, east-, south-, or west-facing.
  • Soil: Chalk, loam, or sand. Moisture: Moist but well-drained. pH: Acid, alkaline, or neutral.
  • Ultimate height: 0.1-0.5m. Time to ultimate height: 2-5 years. Ultimate spread: 0.1-0.5m.
  • Compact Variety. Can be planted in a border or container. Protect dormant tubers with a layer of mulch in very cold winter conditions avoiding contact with roots. Propagate by division. Pull flower stems and leaves, avoid cutting as this will cause damage to the plant. May be susceptible to root rot and soil virus. Suggested planting locations: city and courtyard gardens, cottages and informal gardens or patio and container plants.
